A 70-acre destination for R&D companies to thrive, the Research Park at FAU hosts Global Ventures, a hub for established, second-stage companies to scale-up and thrive, FAU Tech Runway, a hub to accelerate technology development and incubate startup companies as well as Florida SBDC at FAU.
Established in 1985, it is widely regarded as South Florida's laboratory for new entrepreneurial ideas and technologies

Research Park at FAU company joins NSF CAKE at FAU
The Research Park at Florida Atlantic University® recently announced that its client company, GoAwake, has joined the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Industry/University Center for Advanced Knowledge Enablement (CAKE) within FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science.
GoAwake is Global Ventures at FAU’s first recruit from overseas, joining the initiative from Brazil where it has become a leader, creating innovative solutions to prevent accidents caused by drowsiness and distraction when driving.
Help us welcome our newest governing Authority member, Sherry Ambrose, appointed by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners.
Sherry joined Florida Power & Light Company in July 2018 and oversees competitive economic development projects and lead generation efforts.
Sherry brings to the team over a decade of economic development experience in Florida, Texas, and Washington at the local, regional and state levels. She’s held marketing and business development leadership roles for Enterprise Florida and the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.
Sherry was named among Consultant Connect’s 2018 Top 50 Economic Developers in North America.

The virtual 2020 Data Science, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence Conference will bring together the research interests of Florida Atlantic University and industry and government leaders to stimulate collaboration in the areas of data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, and more. At this third annual conference, we hope to build cohesiveness among the varied groups engaged in such work in the local community and beyond. Many great ventures emerged from last year’s conference and we are moving forward in further developing relationships with data scientists and leaders of local businesses, industry and government. The purpose of this year’s Data Science and Analytics Conference is to drill down and hone in on today's unique challenges and real issues local business, industry and government data scientists, and leaders face in their current and future work with big data.
