Revolving Loan Fund - South FL Regional Planning Council
The South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC) has a Revolving Loan Fund which issues loans of $25,000-$500,000 for small and medium-sized businesses which have been unable to secure traditional financing.

2022 Broward & Beyond Business Conference - May 6
The Broward & Beyond Business Conference (BBB) supports the Broward County Board of County Commissioners' vision of "a vibrant economy with a diverse, skilled workforce, in a County offering unique advantages that attract all types of businesses to create equitable, countywide prosperity" and value of "ensuring economic opportunities for all people and businesses in Broward."
Held annually in Broward County and presented by the County's Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), the goal of the conference is to advance the reach of the County's numerous business operations within and beyond the region via relevant and useful content delivered in multiple educational formats. Broward County's economy is strengthened by the quantity and diversity of its business community - large and small.
In 2019, Broward & Beyond Business Conference hosted hundreds of startup, nonprofit, established, and international businesses in all phases of the business cycle representing various industries. The conference provided attendees with the occasion to learn from industry experts and successful peers.
Win $100,000 in Cash in the Emerging Tech Showcase
This Friday, April 29th is the deadline to apply for The Florida Venture Forum's Emerging Tech Showcase. Fast-growing tech companies will be showcased at the 2022 EmergingTech Showcase (ETS) on May 20th at the GuideWell Innovation Center in Orlando, FL.
In addition to presentations by some of Florida’s most promising startups, the #ETs2022 will feature engaging panels & speakers, networking opportunities and the latest in venture technology. Presenting companies will also compete for cash awards totaling $100,000 contributed by Forum partner, Space Florida.
FAU College of Engineering Senior Design Showcase
FAU's College of Engineering/Computer Science Senior Design Showcase is NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, May 4 from 4:00-7:00pm on the FAU Boca Raton Campus-Engineering East Building.
This expo-style showcase will feature cutting-edge projects from our graduating Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science seniors that incorporate Virtual Reality, Advanced Robotics and Artificial Intelligence; innovative Ocean and Mechanical Engineering projects such as the Bio-Inspired Self-Burying AUV and the NASSA Funded Rotational Plant Growth Project for growing nutritional plants in space; and exciting new Civil, Environmental, and Geomatics Engineering projects for the City of Boca Raton and the South Florida Water Management District.
