Global Ventures wins industry award, validation
Dear Mayor Singer, honorable members of the City Council and City Manager Ahnell,
With your investment and support, the Research Park at FAU’s international second stage entrepreneurial support initiative Global Ventures won the inaugural soft landing center award from the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) at its annual conference last month. Thank you for your confidence in our initiative, which has been validated by our industry association.
Global Ventures is an international second stage entrepreneurial support initiative designed to empower entrepreneurs of tech companies with revenues of approx. $1 million and approx. 10 employees to harness their energy into strong growth. Global Ventures provides these companies access to invaluable data to inform their decision-making process, relationships in the Palm Beach County business community, access to FAU’s research faculty and student body and active guidance from our team to ensure their success.
Of the companies currently in Global Ventures:
- 1 has recently secured FDA approval for a 3rd medical device
- 1 has recently secured $550,000 in funding
- 1 is expanding its offering to US Spanish speaking consumers
- Many are actively hiring Boca Raton residents
We have developed a robust pipeline of companies interested in joining the initiative, from Israel, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and Argentina as well from US cities.
We’re excited about the rest of 2021 and will keep you informed of our progress.
Kind regards,
Andrew Duffell, MBA
